CONNECTPlus wins best Patient Centred Healthcare Software Award

CONNECTPlus has been crowned the winner of the Patient Centred Healthcare Software Award

With 26 categories across 5 different classes, the Building Better Healthcare Awards are considered the most credible national health awards open to NHS trusts, hospitals, care homes, architects, contractors, product manufacturers, suppliers and more.

Winners were selected by a judging panel chaired by Roy Lilley, a founder member of the NHS Trust Federation and named among the Sunday Times’ Debrett’s list of the top 500 most influential people in the UK.

On 3 November, over 600 professionals who are consistently raising the bar across the healthcare industry sector, attended the double awards ceremony held at The Brewery, London that celebrated winners from 2020 and 2021.

Ellen Jenkins, Director at HCI says "We are delighted that CONNECTPlus has been recognised for being specially designed with and for patients, to enhance the health and wellbeing of people living with (often multiple) long term conditions, as well as its ability to bring about efficiencies by improving tracking of disease, access to medical information and medication adherence. This really means a lot to us as a team and I am very proud of everyone involved."

Of CONNECTPlus the judges said "What started out as a solution covering just one clinical area is now helping people with a range of conditions and that is to be applauded"

HCI would like to credit the award to patients Lily, Valerie, Laurette, Antonio, and Paul and clinicians at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, Dr Kirsten Mackay, Rian Penford and Dr Agne Straukiene who have been integral to the co-design, development and implementation of CONNECTPlus.

Data from Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust use of CONNECTPlus shows a considerable reduction in education related appointments, reduced waiting times for treatment, better structure to clinics and improved self management of conditions.
